I will always remember my gift I got for a secret elephant party 2 years ago during the holidays. They gift giver knew I loved Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and the budget was $25 dollars or less.
The gift I received was really terrible EVEN though the gift giver GAVE a BJJ related gift! The gift was a shirt with a very corny Jiu Jitsu drawing that I (nor anyone who actually loved BJJ) would ever wear in public much less at at the gym.

Gym Bag or Duffle Bag. This is great gift idea as there are lot of different items to bring to the gym when training. A BJJ Practitioner will want a place to store his regular close, Gi and Training Clothes (especially a separate compartment for after training to store sweaty gear), wallet and phone protection, mouth guard and ear guards and a place to put shoes and flip flops. The most important being a wet/dry compartment to store the sweaty gear.

Word of warning – if the person trains at a specific gym association called Gracie Barra then they are only allowed school provided uniforms so this would not be a good gift to buy. Maybe find out the the gym he or she trains at before buying.
