As much as we can be wooed by the beautiful Gis that are available on the market today.. the fact of the matter is a lot of us just want to train and not blow a wad of cash on a piece of garment that will get sweated on profusely, bled on and generally destroyed in 6 months to a year.
Unless you want to be continually hanging out at the laundromat or washroom you will probably want a few Gis in the rotation to see you through your training without breaking the bank.
We looked at the different Gi manufacturers that consistently offer a good Gi for under $75. From time to time you might see Gi prices dip for well established brands (and if there is a brand you like you should sign up for their email list so you know when they are having sales) but otherwise the brands listed here consistently make a decent Gi at a cheap price or a good Gi at a fair price.
